Later, Gator

My kids.  That's why I keep going.  Really.  Do you ever feel that way?

I know they need me.  They need their sheets washed.  They need healthy food.  They need me to count their carbs.  And to check their blood when they are crying for Gator-Ader (I know, it's funny).  He doesn't have diabetes, but that's what we remember from Mary Claire being diagnosed-the pitiful crying out for W-A-T-E-R!  Afterwards, Ethan told me he didn't like me.  I know, he's four.  But it's awful.  He was tired, and cried that his pinky hurt.  I had to explain why I wanted to check him.  Poor baby..but he was 138.  Kinda high for a normal kid.  Maybe it was the Gator-ader. ; )

I poured all my time and energy into finishing Mary Claire's new meter purse, and I've decided I'll definitely buy the next one.  It was complicated, and has taken me about a week.  Umm..there's no purse at Vera Bradley that costs that much.  They totally have my vote next time. : )  Here are the finished pictures:

Yes, I do like it..except the M is kinda crooked.

Under the front flap.

Looking inside on the front side.

Looking at the back side (inside).  Confused?

Good shot of the purse..but not so much her!

Ahh..better!  She a sweetie.  (Pretend you didn't notice my messy kitchen.)

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Philippians 2:3

She is ADORABLE!!! And the purse too. I remember checking Bridget a few times...especially the first year or two after Joe's diagnosis.

I love the purse!! :) So, cute and made with love that you can't get at the stores! There are a lot of days where my kids are the reason I get up and keep going. They are an external reminder for us of God's love and hope! I tell myself that when they are fighting back & forth!! LOL

Jen, you are so sweet-they ARE an external reminder of God's love. I often think they are the best things I've done with my life. : )

Hugs, Mom, you are sweet!! : )

That meter purse is beautiful. Too bad it takes two weeks to make or you could have a cottage industry there. Can't buy anything like that at Vera Bradley (though I do like her totes).

Thank you! : ) Part of the time was just getting ready! I made a pattern and practiced on it first to get it right, and so I'd have a pattern for another (if I ever get it together enough to make another!) You are so sweet. I do love me some Vera Bradley! : )

I'll consider a business..I could cut out sleeping! ; ) heehee
