Moving Tomorrow

Could you totally understand if I just post some pictures?!  It's been sooo busy!  They are even in bad order, haha!
Wood floors in and covered!

My new dining room fabric!  Scrumptious!!

Mary Claire caroling in Fayetteville

New Carpet!

Ethan's bedroom and carpet : )

Stairs!!

Wood in Pantry..only area not covered!

Carter's room : )

..something I found in a magazine at the doctor's office!  Cute flags! : )

Fireplace almost finished..

A table I'm coveting at a local Fayetteville store.  I begged them to buy it..we'll see.  It's all broken in and everything!! : )

Ethan climbed their rock wall, and rang the bell!!  Way to go, baby!

Don't you love my jump from rock wall to toilet? ha!

Whew, sorry out of time!  I'm finally moving tomorrow..with several things not finished.  They'll get done, we just have to scoot on over there in time for Christmas!  Prayers for your family to finish things in time for Christmas, and you can pray for us!! : ) Hugs!

* Advent and Adventures in Snow *

We've been working away at our Advent Calendar!  It's this adorable mirrored-door Christmas tree we got at Target (I've been searching for a beautiful new one for a few years!), and it's all filled with little candies and each one has a slip of paper with something to do.  We've had hot chocolate with marshmallows, written letters to Santa, made chocolate pretzels, and we made buntings/banners for everyone's rooms!  It's been fun.
that is the bottom of my Advent tree! and here are some of the pretzels..yum!

Last night was supposed to be Clay's band concert, but we were snowed in.  It iced and snowed, and we got about 8 inches.  Depends on where you measure in the yard!  They played outside a couple times.  We even lit the fireplace so they could warm up. : )
what's he doing to the neighbor's mailbox?!  (he just told me he was dusting off the snow.)  Likely.
Ches even got out to go get some shovels and ice melt.  We were outside last night looking like a comedy routine trying to get the van into this tiny garage.  We had to rearrange all the stuff in there to even get it in at an angle (the van is longer than the garage, if you can imagine!).  Then, it was spinning and sliding all over the driveway, and I was just dying thinking it was going to hit Ches' car or that new mailbox we just replaced!  It had to be hilarious to watch.

But, it's all in, and we aren't moving it.  Crazy, huh?

Driveway is framed..

Circle in the front..

And the front sidewalk.

My cutie!

And my light fixtures are up!

My bar sink : ) still needs the garbage disposal button though!

still needs a cleaning, but it's daylight! Sooo thankful I pushed for a window!

The blue chalkline along the brick (almost impossible to see!) will be the concrete line.  So we won't actually need a retaining wall by the garage door!

Much better picture when the toilet lid is down!

Question.   Where would you put the holder for the towel ring in that bathroom?  Mount it on the wall above the siding?  On the horizontal trim above the siding?  Actually on the siding?  Umm..or to the left on the wall?  I'm confused.

So..here's what has been occupying my time.  A big ol' puzzle.  With 1000 pieces!!
(which unfortunately, only had 999 pieces.)  Can you see it?
Only took two whole weeks, and my table space.  But what a feeling of accomplishment! : )  That water almost drove me nuts!

Hope you have something to occupy your time, a warm home to share, and some ice melt. : )  Or not..if you enjoy staying in!  haha

Pictureful Update!

Still building away.. (or not..).  We have made small bits of progress, and they are forming my driveway and sidewalks today!  I can't wait to go see them.  Carter is sleeping, but Ches got to see them this morning..they are hoping to pour them on Wednesday before we get very cold weather (they really aren't supposed to pour concrete under 55 degrees).

Here are some updated pictures!
My ovens are in!  Woohoo, no more coordinating times for turkey AND dressing! : )

If I've already added these..just ignore me.  I'm excited to have a dishwasher, even uninstalled!

Microwave Drawer.  We've had a microwave in the island before (love!), but this way, it opens, and you set the food down into it.

Obviously, we go late in the day when the sun is setting..  my turquoise lights are up!

My oven!  They just cut the hole this day..I think there's another picture with the burners around here somewhere. : )

The light in the stairway.  Cool ceiling design, huh?

VERY happy with my sink and faucet.  They switched the sprayer and handle already..it was all set up for a lefty.  Which I am not.

Marble across the threshold of the shower..I thought it might be easier than cleaning grout as the doors dripped.

Same thing up on the half wall.

Master bath.  We had the mirrors framed, the sconces put on the framing..and there is a set of shelves over the tub for a tv!

The shower almost finished.

Shelves unfinished.

Master bath sinks and faucets, discontinued Marielle, and they were so hard to find!  I had to order each one from all over the US. : )  We didn't know when we chose these!

Looking up into the office light..the diffusers for these are in my van. : )  Don't want them broken!

Intercom System got installed!

Security lights up..no paint outside yet.

Clay's shower with the Ashfield faucet.

He got the Price Pfister Ashfield..just what he begged us for this summer!

Here's the picture with the burners!  It came with a griddle, and a wok holder.  Gotta get one of them with a rounded bottom. ; )  I think the little pad is for a tea kettle.  I'm not even sure! ; )

My big copper fixture out front.  Yay!!

Fireplace is finished. : )

Carter's wall is striped now.  It's just the same color (SW Anew Gray) in a flat/gloss finish stripe.

The glaze sample for the kitchen.  I'm having them glazed (just the seams) with SW Dorian Gray.  Kinda taupey-gray.  Looks good!

Even closer.
And our days have still been busy!  My sweetest big boy turned 13!!  He wanted Shogun and to go bowling with his family..no party!  I think he's not ready for his friends to see him give himself insulin (especially since he's only told a couple of them).  Bless his heart.

Right in front of the fire! : )

Mary Claire's Girl Scout Lego Robotics team at the animal shelter interviewing employees about an invention for animals after a natural disaster.
She's actually been really busy every Friday night since school started.  She's been getting ready for the First Lego League Robotics competition.  At the local qualifier last weekend, they qualified for State!  She's very excited, and we are getting the girls ready to take them to Mountain Home (on the other side of Arkansas!) on December 21st!  The Kappa Delta girls that have been sooo helpful aren't going to be able to make it though. : (  We'll miss them!  (..and I really worked on them.  No good.  They all live out of state.)

Mary Claire and me at the Walton Arts Center seeing White Christmas for Leigh's birthday!

Carter with us on Thanksgiving night shopping at Toys 'R Us.  He LOVED the little grocery carts!  We got him a little blue and green one in a box. : )  He even pushed these pink two around for-ever!!
So..yes, busy.  More than a million things going on around here.  We are still praying for a closing near the end of next week.  We still lack wood floors and carpet on the inside, mirrors and shower doors, and a good cleaning job (and some touch ups and a punch list).  The outside needs drives and sidewalks, irrigation and landscaping.  Almost done.

And then..we prepare for Christmas!  We may be decorating a stack of boxes with lights. ; )  Hopefully, we can actually put up a tree!  And stockings..

Be thankful for your warm home, space for a tree, and some real estate to park your car on...it's the little things. : )

Happy Holly Days!
